Didn't even know one was in the works but yahoo news is reporting UFC fighter Tim Sylvia is playing Jason Voorhees.



Not sure who he is and what happened to Derek Mears but this is certainly news to me.

Well, Tim certainly is a HUGE fellow,he has to know how to be intimidating and he too won't need much makeup (a fact I wouldn't tell him in person), but if there was one thing I loved about the remake, it was Mears performance.



EDIT: After a quick check up, Mears is apparently contracted to return, and there's no word of Sylvia taking on the role. Guess those were just rumors.
