Here's something to consider over the coming weeks.

Which horror film posters excite you the most, even if the films they advertise turn out to be lame?

Suggestions please.

Either the poster to Alone in the Dark (1982) or Maniac (1980). Both similar. That is, assuming the posters are the same as the pictures I know.

Whoops, I misread the post... I thought we were talking about recent movies that will be coming out.

In that case, I'll have to change my opinion and go with the quarantine poster from 28 Weeks Later.

The poster for 28 Days later was pretty nice too.

I could go on and tell which ones are the bests as a graphic artist, but that would be boring, (though there are some very very good ones, like the 28 days/weeks movies) here are the ones I like no matter if they're cheesy or actually not very good.

Just plain kickass, and a perfect hommage to the old school painted posters of the 50s horror movies and the such.

More to come.

Definitely agree with the Elm Street suggestion. Homoerotic taglines aside, the Thing poster, while plain, is effective and one of my favorites.

This is a pretty tough choice, I like the Evil Dead series posters but I think zombie movie posters in general are pretty good. (I like the Shaun of the dead, dawn of the dead and zombieland posters as well)   but I also like the original Halloween poster...I'm so indecisive

You can just choose to say the poster I presented is the greatest then.
