Now after seeing movies like "Dead Snow" recently I have fallen in love with the zombie genre even more....The thought of another flick with anything "Nazi" and "Zombie" together will always peak my interest....Here is something I found while searching for some news.

"Just as pallid emo-vampires are all the craze these days, so seems the Nazi-zombie subgenre. After the moderate success of last year’s U.K. effort THE OUTPOST and DEAD SNOW currently invading cinemas worldwide, a pretty cool sounding flick called THE 4TH REICH marches in the same footsteps.

British writer/director Shaun Robert Smith (THE SOLDIER) is currently in pre-production on his feature debut, with Sean Pertwee and Tom Savini slated to play a role. Though Savini will remain in front of the camera, rest assured that venerated F/X man Cesar Alonso (TIMECRIMES, MINDFLESH) is on the job and will perhaps be working in 3-dimensions.

According to Twitch.net, the director claims:

"Our vision and intention for 'The 4th Reich' is primarily to be a war film, although there just happens to be a premise, which encapsulates the characters, leaving them with plenty to deal with. Similar to that of "Saving Private Ryan", in their quest to save Private Ryan, they had encountered something not seen before, something dark and at that moment, the focus of their mission became survival, a test of human endurance and unspeakable horror."

Regarding the 3-D technology in the film, Smith further posits:

"Certain elements will be shot using the latest 3D techniques enhancing the thrill for the audience. 3D has been re-invented over the past few years and now offers plenty of exciting new features. Also, cinemas have steadily warmed to the medium, encompassing such features, allowing many more 3D enhanced movies to be released."

THE 4TH REICH also stars Craig Conway, Simon Bamford, Patrick Toomey, Clayton Fussell, William Scott-Masson, and Jay Sutherland.  No release dates are available at this point."

This sounds very interesting if you ask me.

This makes up for the downward spiral the vampire genre is going in. I say MORE!

I'm not sure if vampiers will be able to turn around from what they are now; but I think it may be safe to say that there won't ever be very much money to make in romanticizing zombies.

I haven't had a chance to see the full video yet, but if he has a lot of nazi movies I think a zombie nazi show for FE Radio will be in order!
