Michael Harding returns home from military school to find his mother happily in love and living with her new boyfriend, David. As the two men get to know each other, Michael becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there with a helpful hand. Is he really the man of her dreams or could David be hiding a dark side?

So I was watching Scrubs on Comedy Central earlier tonight, when all of a sudden I come across this lil gem of a commercial... but something didn't really sit right with me about it. Something just seemed out of place, like deja vu or something. Let me ask you all a valid question... does this movie seem familiar to any of you at all?

Let me give you a hint.

But wait, you might ask... wasn't that movie a remake? That it was, my friends... crude at best, but a remake none the less!

Mother fuckers are so hard up for cash they just make the same slop, but change character genders!

Not exactly, I mean the Stepfather is about a serial killer while The Uninvited is about...

SPOILER BELOW (highlight text to read)
a girl being mental.

Well, probably the biggest detail of all. Don't see you posting about how we have 25,000 slasher movies all with the same basic premise.  Grin

The Stepfather swaps gender also from the original film by replacing the lovely Jill Schoelen as the step daughter to this dorkie guy as the stepson. This is an outrage!

They will make up for it by showing some tittays.

Apparently blatant mocks of movies doesn't get anyone else's attention around here.

What if I said it was a remake of a movie made in 1987?

I have no interest in seeing this movie...I didn't like the original too much either.

The original sucked yes, but Jill Schoelen sent me back for more. She does have a shower scene and isn't that what really matters in a horror movie?

Sorority Row was pretty good and it was a remake.
