Children of the Corn: Best to Worst

I've now seen most of the Children of the Corn movies (there was a marathon on Sy-Fy), and I was curious as to what we rate them. (and I'll update What's the last horror movie you saw? tomorrow)

First, let me list the movies: Disciples of the Crow (the original movie that was based off the short story; it's only 30 minutes; 1983; haven't seen it), Children of the Corn (1984), Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice (1992), Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest (1995, haven't seen it), Children of the Corn: The Gathering (1996), Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998), Children of the Corn 666: Isaac's Return (1999), Children of the Corn: Revelation (2001), and Children of the Corn (2009 remake). That's nine (9) movies in total, now let me rate them:

Since I have not seen these movies, they will not be listed: Disciples of the Crow and Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest.

From best to worst:
1. Children of the Corn (1984)
2. Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998) (This was actually pretty good)
3. Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice (1992)
4. Children of the Corn (2009)
5. Children of the Corn: The Gathering (1996) (I should mention that this has nothing whatsoever to do with the series)
6. Children of the Corn: Revelation (2001) (I should also mention that this is NOT a slasher, it's a supernatural movie)
7. Children of the Corn 666: Isaac's Return (1999) (Although I sort of want to re-watch this.)

So, let's all compare!

I remember seeing the first one, and didn't much care for it... so I never bothered with the others.

I only seen 1,2 & some of 6. 1 being my fave and 6 sucking to the hilt.

 I have the 6th one but have not seen it yet....I have not seen the very first one which is the 30 minute one and I have not seen the last one or the remake.

It's unrealated to the main series, De. It's the first adaption of the King story.

Just saw reports of a Children of the Corn 2009 movie online. What is this? The remake already?

It premired on Sy-Fy last night.

Well shit. Was it edited for gore?

Well, most likely. There's an uncensored and unedited version on DVD coming out in a week or so.

Must be the copy online then. What you rate it on a scale to 10?

The remake? 6/10. Maybe 5.5/10. I still need to update the last horror movie I've watched.
