Stupid Things

Texas Overnight with Charley Jones is a show on the A.M. station and they had a topic I thought was good enough to share on here. Name a stupid thing done in a horror movie that was needed to advance the plot forward.

The example they gave was in Alien, if those idiots had listened to ripley and NOT let the guy with the face hugger back into the ship, none of them would have died. Not only did they let him back in but they had lunch with the guy shortly afters!! Does the word quarantine not mean anything to these idiots?

So, name some more Stupid Things from movies.

Don't confuse stupid things with something like say "why they let the infected dog in The Thing into the bunker?" Because they had no reason to think it was infected! So it wasn't a stupid thing.

Now, let's hear some more!

How about The Decent? The one bitch knew that she was putting everyone in danger because the cavern was uncharted, and then convinced everyone down the cavern anyhow.

And From Beyond! They all knew how horrible the machine was, but they kept going back time and again, for science! Idiots.

Hmm, the Descent bitch could qualify as stupid. I would lean more towards reckless but yeah, putting your friends in that kind of possible peril is pretty stupid.

In Jason X- They heard all about who Jason was and why he was frozen....If they would not have brought him on board their ship and listened to the hot chick when she told them to get rid of him.....They would not have gotten slaughtered.

In the Prom Night remake, the killer is on the loose in this building and everyone is being evacuated (but no one knows if it's because of a fire, or a madman or whatever) by police and such. The lead female is safe outside with everyone else, she decides that returning to the building for a shawl that she had left behind was a good enough reason to be going back in for and facing possible death/danger.

In Quarantine, which is a shot for shot remake of REC with a few elements changed around in an attempt to make things "scarier", they do like in the original and handcuffs the mother of the infected child, who has been bitten herself moments ago, to the stairs. Only, in REC, they were bright enough to put the lady far from them, but in Quarantine, noooo, they put her right in the middle of the fucking stairs when it's obvious she'll be in the way if something happens and they have to run up.

In Zombieland, the world is crawling with Zombies so what is the smart thing to do? Turn on an entire amusement parks lights in the middle of the night. Stupid thing but leads to a fun ending.
