What, no Paranormal Activity 2 thread yet?

Apparently, after PA crushed Saw VI at the box office, Kevin Greutert from the latter is going to be directing Paranormal Activity 2.

A bit hilarious and an indication as to where the franchise is going from here.

It is a sad, sad day when Paranormal Activity is being taken over by one of the creators of Saw.

This isn't surprising at all. I think even Stevie Wonder saw a sequel coming. You want to talk about surprising, then you should mention Halloween 3D's production being canceled indefinitely. That's surprising/good news. But back to Paranormal 2. I haven't seen the first, have no plans on seeing the first, and I hate anything after Saw 2. So the chances of me caring/seeing Paranormal 2 are about as good as the world actually ending in 2012.

I would prefer the sequel to focus on hunting down the possessed slut. Toss in Militia, Tanks and a Nuclear wessel and I am there, bro!

I must say, I was planning on being disappointed by Paranormal Activity before watching it but when the wife and I finally had a childless night to go do something, we decided to see whatever movie at the cinema that we thought we could tolerate the most since nothing good was out and it ended being Paranormal Activity. I must say, I was rather engrossed by it.

As for what should happen in part two, I'm not even sure how to approach that. One way would be De's method but then would probably lack what made the first one appealing or they could basically do it like the first one but with a new couple or maybe about the woman who previously had died because of this demon (which may be likely).

I can't hate Paranormal Activity too badly if it beat Saw VI at the box office.

That is a plus, Dorkie.

A minus would be it was just dull.

I rather enjoyed "Paranormal Activity" but I know for a damn fact that if a sequel is made I will hate it...It won't have the same affect.

Since it hasn't been posted yet (that I can see, maybe in another topic):

Well, I don't have a good feeling about this.

I found it laughable this trailer was deemed too scary for theaters and pulled from several. One source reported the studio simply asked them to pull it themselves hinting this is a publicity stunt.

After the shitfest that was the first one, I can say without hesitation that this one doesn't look one bit better.

I think the fact that I can shit a scarier trailer proves that it's only a stunt.

Oooh flashing scenes! I'm scared.

Though, I have to say that I actually got freaked out watching the first one. Meaning the end scene made me jump. (Though, I think I was just a bit jumpy that day)

I think the second one will be worth a borrow. Maybe a rental when it goes to seven day.
I'm for sure going to check it out one day because I do want to see where it goes.

Please try to keep that one topic off the board itself- it can bring all the wrong attention.
Thanks
