I feel bad making a thread about yet another of these, but I can't just ignore every piece of horror news coming up either.

Who's next on the table, then?  May be Gremlins.

I'm getting tired of this 3D revival.

Until they find a way to make stuff 3D without having to wear those retarded glasses, I'm just going to stick with regular movies.

The clear glasses are pretty good actually, but 3D was never really a factor in the box office. They've tried it since the 50s and I don't think it really ever affected ticket sales. The effect as of now is pretty neat, but I won't enjoy a movie more than I would with or without the 3D.

They can make 3D movies without the glasses. Look at the explosion scene of Swordfish:

But it is so expensive to do that compared to just getting a camera with two lenses. Even James Cameron bailed on giving us this type of 3D which just looks awesome. So Hollywood is still knuckle dragging 3D around like they did in the 80's while still expecting you to wear those dumbass glasses.

I never understood 3D. Even when they're trying to tell you how great it is in those commercials, for me it's like there's no difference at all. 3D sucks.

Agreed. I don't find those red and blue glasses even slightly effective. I tried watching My Bloody Valentine in 3D but it was just a red and blue blur! Enough with the glasses. Do it Swordfish way! No glasses!

These glasses do suck balls and they only seem to work for static images' illusions. The 3D rarely pops in actual movies, and it hurts the eyes to see everything in a red and blue blur. The clear Imax glasses are pretty nifty though. I still have my pair from Monsters vs Aliens.

Is the Piranha remake still planned to be in three-dee?

I'm tired of 3D movies, but for a slightly different reason as Shadow (although his is valid too)...our cinema never shows them.

Fuuny how you'd think a place called Dorktopia would be up with the latest technologies.

They didn't with My Bloody Valentine, and something else which name I've forgotten. If I don't get 3D Piranha with the 3D boobies I riot!
