Rawhead Rex (1986)
Review by Bradley Frohloff

Rawhead Rex is not really a good movie by normal standards. However, like many bad movies, it has gained somewhat of a cult following since it was panned pretty hard back in the 80's to the point where even its own writer, Clive Barker, had disowned it. In the end it all boils down to your affection for bad, cheesy flicks with rubber monster costumes.
The mythology of Rawhead feels undercooked, there are some uninteresting scenes and I don't particularly care for how Rawhead can be defeated. With that being said, the monster itself is a sight to behold due to its outrageous design and sheer massiveness. I find it difficult to dislike a movie in which the monster baptises a priest by pissing all over his face.
