If Adult Swim were to play horror movies, I feel that this one would be on their playlist. Everything about the movie boggles the mind with its dialogue, soundtrack and nonsensical turn of events. The conversations between characters are so surreal, I just can't stop thinking of even the tiniest of remarks, such as when Ronnie regales his date with a story of taking Michael Jackson to some club, eating delicious nachos, punching people the fuck out and then together spraying some girls with their creamy man-milk.
There's plenty of gore and gooey action to behold, and while it's always handled in an excessive manner, I was expecting it to be even messier than it ended up being. While I was plenty entertained throughout, rarely coming across any dull moments, I must admit that toward the end of the movie I felt that it was starting to get stale and needed to hurry up and get to the conclusion.
The Greasy Strangler is an acquired taste, one of which I have an appreciation for. There will be plenty of other people out there who would wonder what the fuck they're watching and either don't understand or simply don't enjoy this type of humour. As far as weird movies go, they don't get much weirder than this.

I saw Triloquist recently, and gave it the low, low rating of 0/10 (rounded up to a 1/10 here), but that are gradients in atrocity, as I hated this even more.
Everything I hate about this film is intentional, from the terrible dialogue (it's stilted, sure, but the dialogue, even ignoring delivery, is utterly cringe-inducing) to the really stupid chants (be it 'free drinks' or 'disco cutie'), from the characters, and just everything.
I get that some people like this humor, and the movie boasts over a 5/10 on IMDb, but I don't see it at all. To be honest, I don't want to dwell on this, or think about it any more than I have to. Triloquist was a bad film, in my opinion, but this was even worse, and entirely void of enjoyable content.
Sorry, but that's all I want to say about this waste of time.
