House of 1000 Corpses (2003)
Review by Bradley Frohloff

8 / 10
Rob Zombie's first directorial effort does have its flaws, but it's also quite a unique experience. House of 1000 Corpses contains some really enjoyable characters with the most notable being Captain Spaulding who is played by the beloved Sid Haig. Spaulding steals the show, which is evident as the most entertaining moments of the film are during his scenes.

The movie does get a little sloppy as it progresses and slips further into a surreal nightmare. But I'd imagine by the time you get to that point, you were either already invested in the characters enough to enjoy it or this movie just wasn't your cup of tea.

Overall, I thought there was a decent amount of fun and entertainment within this flick.
