Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990)
Review by Bradley Frohloff

The first movie, while not particularly scary, did kind of have that serious tone to the film. This sequel doesn't quite have that same tone but it is really fun and crazy. They go out of their way to concoct many different personalities and forms of gremlins that they can and run with it. Also, the cuteness factor for Gizmo is off the charts. Who wouldn't want this little guy as a pet?
The gremlins aren't as scary this time around but there is some good humour, homages, parodies and cameos throughout. I find this sequel to be just as good as the original movie.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990)

I would argue that Gremlins 2 is as good as the original. It knows that most sequels are unnecessary, over the top and ridiculous, so it goes all out into being the most unnecessary, over the top and ridiculous sequel it can be. It's funny, witty and subversive and an absolute riot.
